The Bill - DS Stuart Turner finds out the true identity of "The Postman"
Wednesday 12 December 2007 8:00pm - 9:00pm on ITV1.
DS Stuart Turner (Doug Rao) is horrified to discover that his trusted friend and driver, Trevor Jones (Sid Owen), is the dangerous drug dealer known as 'The Postman'.
Stuart meets up with him and is stunned when Trevor explains he's slowly been putting money into Stuart's account and has incriminating photos of him, all of which would implicate the DS in the drug deals. Trevor tells a shell shocked Stuart that he is now his man inside Sun Hill.
Elsewhere, the investigation leads CID to a house they believe is connected to 'The Postman'. Convinced that a drug deal is about to take place, the officers prepare to capture the mysterious dealer. They're confused when two men leave the house and drive away.
The house is searched and DI Neil Manson (Andrew Lancel) is furious to learn the drugs have been flushed away and concludes that there must be an informant in the team.
He is further angered when PCs Tony Stamp (Graham Cole) and Reg Hollis (Jeff Stuart) tell him that the men were decoys and the van they were driving has been found burnt out.
Already suspicious with Stuart's mood, DC Jo Masters (Sally Rogers) confronts Stuart and he confesses all to her. Jo is furious with him but agrees to help him arrest Trevor and save his job.
Stuart later heads to Trevor's office armed with a hidden tape recorder and his hopes are raised when Trevor finally admits to blackmailing him. However, when he knocks Stuart out, it looks as though the detective's troubles are far from over.
