Alka-seltzer cleaning tips

These trusty tablets can be used for an array of cleaning purposes.

Toilet bowl: Drop four tablets in the toilet, leave for an hour and then brush for a sparkling finish.

Jewellery: Dissolve one tablet in a cup of warm water and leave your jewellery in it for a few minutes before drying. Note: No pearls or opals!

Clean pipes: Pop three tablets down the kitchen sink with a cup of white vinegar, leave for a few minutes then run hot water.
