Rhys Ifans' Rolling Stones vow
18 December 2007- Rhys Ifans has vowed to keep partying until Keith Richards dies.
The 'Notting Hill' star - who is releasing his first music album with his band The Perth next year - has been inspired to live the rock 'n' roll lifestyle after meeting notorious hellraiser Keith, 63.
Rhys - who is dating Sienna Miller - said: "He is totally inspiring, and the fact he's still living it up now is amazing.
"When I had the honour of meeting him, I just kept looking at him and kept thinking, 'F**k it, if he's still alive, I'm going to keep on partying.' "
But the 40-year-old Welsh actor admitted he was "shy as f**k" when he met his idol, who had to have brain surgery last year after falling out of a coconut tree.
Rhys added: "I went round his house and there he was, watching the Wimbledon tennis championship with his brain surgeon.
"We talked about tennis a little, but I could hardly speak at all. I just couldn't believe that I was actually sat there speaking to Keith Richards. No actor could ever make me feel like that."
Rhys, who plays the guitar, has a musical past.
He was in the original line-up for Welsh band the Super Furry Animals and famously starred in the video for Oasis' UK number one single 'The Importance of Being Idle'.
