Simon Cowell's Pitt wish

X Factor - Simon Cowell gets stabbed in the back

Friday, 22 August 2008

X Factor fans will be disappointed with a former X Factor star who has described the new series as "cringeworthy."

Thankfully it wasn't superstar Leona Lewis or last years winner Leon Jackson. That would have been too much to take. The harsh words actually came from the lips of former G4 singer Jonathan Ansell.

Jonathan clearly doesn't think that much of Simon Cowell and told Virgin Media: "Simon's gone all out to Americanise it with the helicopters, the cars, and glamming it up. I think that worked incredibly well but I got incredibly frustrated with the sob stories as the show went on.

Poor Cheryl Cole didn't even get a mention in the interview, despite looking absolutely stunning in the first show.

We've collected all the best Cheryl Cole photos together in our Photo Galleries so click here to check out the Girls Aloud star >

If you prefer to look at Leon or Leona don't worry we've got all the photos you want - including all the new contestants from this series >
