X Factor - Introducing Scott Bruton
Monday, 6 October 2008
Scott Bruton, a 19 year-old former Bluecoat from Manchester might be the luckiest guy alive after Simon Cowell decided to put him through to the X Factor live shows.
It was thought that Scott would be sent packing after he went missing shortly before his flight to Barbados. He was told to stay in the executive lounge but ignored show producers and went off according to The Mirror.
Their source revealed: "The producers couldn't find him anywhere and thought he might even have quit the show after meeting all the other talent and getting cold feet.
"He was threatened with being kicked off if he ran off or misbehaved again.
"He could easily have missed the flight, and that would have scuppered any chances of winning the show."
Scott's story
Scott lives in Manchester with his parents, his two brothers and his sister. At first Scott wanted to be an actor but changed his mind the first time he picked up a mic and sang karaoke.
Scott won several talent shows and singing competitions in his school and decided to start performing in pubs and clubs when he was fourteen.
He started at drama college but had to quit due to lack of funds. He then got a job as a Bluecoat at Pontins.
After Simon, Cheryl, Louis and Dannii put Scott through to Bootcamp he decided to quit Pontins, a gamble which has paid off.
Scott really wants to follow in Leon Jackson's footsteps. He told The Mirror: "If I won the whole competition, I'm sure my lifestyle would change. But I wouldn't change as a person; I'd just wear better clothes!"
