X Factor - Introducing Laura White

17-year-old Laura White will be under pressure when she sings her first song on the X Factor stage as she is the favourite to win.
Cheryl Cole was very impressed with all Laura's performances.
She told the student: "You know I've loved you from day one. I've watched you progress. I think you are amazing. You're going to have to be in the final three."
Laura couldn't help crying when she heard that she had made it. She said: "My mum and dad will be so happy. Thank you. I can't believe it, thank you so much."
Laura's story
Laura was born in Manchester and has been singing and playing the piano since she was at school. She started to sing in jazz bars when she was fifteen.
When she was seventeen Laura entered a radio competition and won. The prize was to sing in front of 15,000 people when Peter Kay switched on the Bolton Christmas lights.
Laura is very talented and started writing her own music and posting tracks on her MySpace page last year. After getting messages of encouragement she decided to enter The X Factor.
She still lives at home and is studying Creative Writing at university.
Her dad is her biggest fan and has been to every one of her gigs.
