'Smug' Simon Cowell
Wednesday, 5 August 2009
Terry Christian has branded Simon Cowell "smug".
The 'Celebrity Big Brother' runner-up insists the former A and R man-turned TV talent show guru has an inflated sense of self-importance and shouldn't be awarded the respect he receives for his work in the music industry.
Terry blasted: "Simon has the demeanour of a bloke who is suffering from an overly kissed behind. It's just like, 'Tell me I'm great again... I know.'
"The reality is there are some awful records he is responsible for. In fact, every record he is responsible for is absolutely horrendous."
Simon launched a number of novelty records during his career including songs by wrestlers of the World Wrestling Federation (now World Wrestling Entertainment), breakfast TV puppet duo Zig and Zag and characters from children's series' 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' and 'Teletubbies'.
TV and radio host Terry also took a swipe at Simon's fellow 'Britain's Got Talent' judges Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.
Talking about the show on 'The Funny Side Of TV Talent', he said: "It's a good formula. Two uber-smug blokes and a woman with a paralysed face."
'The Funny Side Of TV Talent' airs on BBC2 tomorrow (06.08.09).
