X Factor judge Simon Cowell

Same Difference spot X Factor winner

Tuesday, 26 August 2008

Schoolboy Eoghan Quigg is being tipped to win this year's 'X Factor'.

Sibling duo Same Difference - who got to the final of last year's series - are convinced the 15-year-old from Derry, Northern Ireland, can go all the way.

Eoghan impressed all the judges with his rendition of Eric Clapton's 'Tears In Heaven', which aired on ITV on Saturday (23.08.08), and was put through to boot camp.

Same Difference, brother and sister Sean and Sarah Smith, wrote on their blog: He reminds us of a singing version of George Sampson ('Britain's Got Talent' winner). We loved his version of 'Tears In Heaven' and it would be lovely to see someone from Northern Ireland in the final 12."

The pop pair also singled out a number of other hopefuls who they believe could have an impact on this year's show.

They added: "There were a lot of potential finalists. There are a lot of young hopefuls shining through, especially Jade, 15, and Liam, 14, who could be a heartthrob."

Viewers can see the judges - Simon Cowell, Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue - cast their eyes and ears over the next group of hopefuls this Saturday (30.08.08).
