Cheryl Cole reduced a singer to tears on her first day as a judge on 'The X Factor' yesterday (13.06.08).
The Girls Aloud star joined Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue at the first round of London auditions for the talent show, but managed to make 19-year-old Dominic Moone cry.
Dominic was so nervous about singing Boyz II Men's 'I'll Make Love To You' in front of Cheryl that he couldn't stop the tears.
A show insider said: "For once the tears came from a contestant and not from the judges squabbling. The lad was so overcome seeing the judges that he got emotional.
"The panel were in a good mood. With the old judge Sharon Osbourne now gone, a lot of the tension has disappeared."
However, bosses are said to be concerned as less than 20 people had turned up in the first few hours of the audition process at the Emirates Stadium in London.
They are now hoping numbers will pick up as they continue searching for the most talented singers throughout the country.
The insider added: "It's early days. Let's not panic just yet."
