Cheryl Cole gets blast from the past
Friday, 26 June 2009
A member of 'Popstars: The Rivals' band One True Voice has auditioned for 'X Factor'.
Daniel Pearce - whose boyband was beaten to the Christmas number one in 2002 by TV talent show judge Cheryl Cole's band Girls Aloud - received a standing ovation after performing Seal's 'Kiss From A Rose'.

Cheryl said: "I always thought you were fantastic."
The Cheryl and Daniel originally shot to initial fame by winning places in rival groups on reality TV talent show 'Popstars: The Rivals'.
Viewers voted for a boyband and girl group on the show, who each released a single at the same time.
Girls Aloud - comprising Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle - scored the all important number one in the UK singles chart, with One True Voice coming in at number two.
The boy group, however, failed to replicate their rivals' success in the coming months and were eventually dumped by their record company.
After Daniel's audition, Simon Cowell told fellow judge Louis Walsh - both of whom were on the panel of the 2002 show - he should never have let Daniel slip away.
Meanwhile, the father of last year's hopeful Mali Michael McCalla has proceeded to next round of the show.
Noel McCalla had a heart attack just before Mali went to Simon's Barbados home to audition in the final stages of the contest last year.
