Yasmina Siadatan won 'The Apprentice'

Yasmina Siadatan was hired by Sir Alan Sugar in the final of 'The Apprentice' last night (07.06.09).

The 27-year-old restaurant owner beat hot-favourite Kate Walsh to land the £100,000-a-year job after they went head to head in a task to design a new line of chocolates.

She said: "I don't feel like I've beaten Kate because I feel we both deserved that job, and I feel we just had different qualities and Sir Alan needed my qualities over hers.

"I don't think mine were any better than hers, I just think that's the kind of guy Sir Alan is. I'm sure Kate will do just as well as me but on a different path."

"I can't believe it, I am in shock. All those months ago you first apply to try to get on, and here I am, it's amazing."

For the final task, the girls had to develop and market an entirely new range of chocolates, with assistance from previous contestants.

Yasmina created the brand Cocoa Electric, with diverse flavours including strawberry and basil, and while Sir Alan praised her concept - with a price of £6 a box - he said the tastes needed work.

Kate's team decided on a box of chocolates for couples, with three layers of chocolates for him, her and one to share - but the £13 price tag didn't impress Sir Alan.

Speaking about his decision, Sir Alan told the final two: "It's a tough decision. You are the best I've ever had in the final in this boardroom."

However, he opted for Yasmina, saying: "Yasmina seemed to have that real business instinct, not just sales or anything like that. She's innovative and understands the plot of where we're going."

Yasmina will now work with one of Sir Alan's companies on a digital signage project, which relates to outdoor advertising.
