The Apprentice - Gordon Brown to compete with Alan Sugar
Wednesday, 14 May 2008
The BBC is planning an Apprentice style show with Gordon Brown.
They think Gordon Brown would be a perfect 'Alan Sugar.'
The show would involve school children competing to be Prime Minister for the day.
The series would be produced by Margaret McCabe and she claims the show would be for the "Apprentice meets Maria/Strictly Come Dancing audience."
Communities Secretary Hazel Blears revealed the top secret plans as she left Number 10.
She was holding the email containing the show details when she was photographed.
The email states: "Please please let all concerned know that this is not stunt TV.
"It is a golden opportunity for the PM to gather a youth manifesto and become more popular than Alan Sugar (along with certain cabinet colleagues!)."
It is thought the series will be discussed in detail at a meeting planned later this month.
