Prime Minister Alan Sugar?

Prime Minister Alan Sugar?

Tuesday, 12 August 2008

Sir Alan Sugar would make the ideal Prime Minister, according to a new poll.

The 'Apprentice' tycoon - who is famous for his catchphrase, 'You're Fired!' - is the perfect successor to current Prime Minister Gordon Brown, in the survey of over 3,000 people.

'QI' host Stephen Fry came top of contenders for the Deputy Prime Minister position, while 'Countdown' presenter Carol Vorderman - who sensationally quit the Channel 4 show last month after being told she would have to suffer a 90 per cent pay cut - was thought to be the perfect Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Sir Alan is no stranger to dealing out political advice, and recently told Gordon Brown he should "kick out" any members of government who are unsupportive of his leadership.

He added: "It's impossible to run a company or government unless everybody is on side. It's easy to blame the top man, but the economic conditions at the moment are not the Prime Minister's fault."
