Majid Nagra reckons he was fired from 'The Apprentice' because advisor Margaret Mountford "fancied" another contestant.

The 28-year-old business development manager blasted claims he was a "passenger" on the show and insists if Margaret - who was tasked with following his team, Empire, and reporting back to show boss Sir Alan Sugar - had paid proper attention to him, rather than his teammate, he would not have been fired.

He said: "I have no idea why Margaret labelled be a passenger. Maybe she fancies James. Maybe if she fancied me she would have been distracted.

"Nick and Margaret don't really converse with us, they're just there to give feedback to Sir Alan. When I spoke to Margaret it was very minimal."

In the latest task on the BBC reality show, the teams were asked to design a new item of fitness equipment and pitch their idea to three retailers.

Empire came up with a multi-purpose design, but their Boxy failed to win fans and only received orders for 500 units.

In contrast, rival team Ignite secured 10,180 orders for their Body Rocka, which worked out abdominal muscles and buttocks.

Empire team leader James McQuillan blamed Ben Clarke - who masterminded the design - and Majid for the failure of the task, resulting in both being taken back into the boardroom to face Sir Alan.
Sir Alan blasted the trio, saying: "Don't you lot get it? You totally missed your target audience. You came up with some lump of wood. I know why you didn't get any orders. The whole thing sucks."

He decided to get rid of Majid after Margaret insisted he was too laid back and didn't contribute to the team.

Meanwhile, fans of the show were left furious after the BBC accidentally leaked who was fired from the show online hours before it aired.

Furious viewer Daniel Holland said: "I couldn't believe it. I went on to the site to see some clips, but they'd given the game away. I feel really cheated.

"I'm sure when Sir Alan finds out it won't just be Majid who gets fired."
