Zoe Lucker's 'ludicrous' Strictly exit
Sunday, 1 November 2009
Zoe Lucker was voted off 'Strictly Come Dancing' last night (31.10.09).
The former 'Footballers Wives' actress and dancing partner James Jordan were sent home after losing out to ex-'Hollyoaks' actress Ali Bastion and Brian Fortuna in the show's dance off ? which was blasted as "ludicrous" by judge Len Goodman.
Both couples had consistently achieved high scores in the competition, but last night viewers' votes placed them at the bottom of the show's league table, meaning judges had to chose one of the couples to leave.
Although the panel sided with Ali and Brian's pasa doble routine, they said they thought neither couple should have faced the axe.
Len said: "I'm sorry, I know the viewers can do what they like and it is a popularity contest and all that, but this is ludicrous. It is nonsensical.
"There are five couples who were worse than these two."
Judge Craig Revel Horwood agreed, saying choosing between the two couples presented a "heinous dilemma".
Zoe said of her appearance on the show: "I have had an amazing time. I have loved being here."
