Ricky Whittle claims his relationship with 'Strictly Come Dancing' partner Natalie Lowe is just "acting".
The 'Hollyoaks' star brushed off claims he is romancing the blonde beauty since splitting with long term girlfriend Carley Stenson earlier this month, saying the show requires them to be "all over each other".
He said: "You have to have chemistry - it's acting. I need to make people believe the rumba is about two people in love, and the tango is about passion.
"The papers get silly when they see us holding hands, but you have to have that closeness.
"Your hands are literally all over each other from day one. It's actually a step down from my usual love scenes!"
Ricky - who plays Calvin Valentine in the Channel 4 soap - also said the tough fitness regime of the show has seen him get into fine physical shape, and had a great effect on those who have appeared on the show alongside him.
He added to Closer magazine: "I've lost three inches from my waist, and a stone in weight! Forget diets - just dance.
"Look at Ricky Groves, he's like a muscleman now, Natalie Cassidy has always looked beautiful, but her body's changing shape. She's got great pins."
