Len Goodman's already lining up his Strictly replacement

As Strictly Come Dancing fans are coming to terms with the fact Len Goodman won't be putting the celebrity dancers through their paces next year, Len's busy lining up a judge to take his place next autumn.

The Strictly head judge - who is quitting at the end of the current series as he finds travelling to America to judge on Dancing With The Stars each week is too demanding - hopes the new judge will be someone who sees things his way.

The 64 year-old said: “I’d like them to get someone from my world — the ballroom and Latin American field.

"I think it’s important there’s somebody who talks about technique."

Len admits he doesn't always see eye to eye with existing judges Bruno Tonioli, Arlene Phillips and Craig Revel Horwood as they often pay attention to everything but the footwork.

He said: "We do have disagreements and some are serious. But once we walk off set, that’s it.

"Bruno is always looking at the passion and drama... and the buttocks!

"Craig always talks about the story, Arlene is looking at the musicality and arms and so on.

I’m the old fuddy-duddy looking at the footwork."

You're not that old Len.... not in the Bruce Forsyth league yet anyway.
