Reality TV star Ryan Giggs
Tuesday, 17 June 2008
Ryan Giggs has hinted he is considering starring in a reality TV show when he retires from soccer.
The sportsman said he would love to follow in the footsteps of his former teammate Lee Sharpe by showing off his skills on 'Dancing on Ice' or a similar show.
He said: "I'll probably hang up my boots in two or three years. I'd consider appearing on reality TV shows."
Other options for Ryan include 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here', which has included sports personalities Tony Benn, Neil Ruddock and Diane Modahl, or 'Strictly Come Dancing', which has seen Martin Offiah, Darren Gough and Colin Jackson show off their dancing expertise.
However, Ryan may find it hard to retire from the game, after Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson recently revealed he wants him to stay at the club even after he has stopped playing.
He said: "We want a structure whereby former players are part of the club, like we are doing with Bryan Robson."
