Trinny and Susannah to be dropped?
Wednesday, 20 August 2008
Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine are facing the axe from ITV.
The threat that their contract with the TV network will not be renewed comes after the pair's show 'Trinny and Susannah Undress The Nation' has proved unpopular with viewers.
A source said: "The show has been a huge disappointment. ITV paid a lot to bring Trinny and Susannah over from the BBC but they won't be renewing the current deal."
However, a spokesman for ITV denied the claims, insisting: "Trinny and Susannah are an important part of the ITV family. As well as the series which is currently on air, they return in the autumn with a third series."
Trinny and Susannah - who are famous for their abrupt manner of assessing women's sense of style - first moved to ITV from the BBC when a £1.2 million deal was negotiated in 2005 following the success of their debut TV show 'What Not To Wear'.
