Location advice despite the credit crunch

Even in the midst of the credit crunch, there are still some people who are buying, and who better to offer sound advice than Kirstie and Phil on Location, Location, Location?
This week they are searching for two new homes for two couples around Exeter in Devon.
It's a picture postcard area with pretty villages, leafy lanes and seaside towns galore, but it's also a hotspot for second homes.
Nick and Nancy need to put down roots, having moved four times in the last eight years due to Nick's job in the RAF.
They are looking for the ideal rural lifestyle, with plenty of outside space for the kids and dogs to run around, plus an annexe for Nancy's mum!
With a generous £600,000 budget, Kirstie still needs to reach for her magic wand if she is to find the perfect property that ticks all the right boxes. Also searching are Al and Debbie.
Al has never moved from his home town and has lived within a one-square-mile radius all his life!
Now with three kids, the family are desperate for space and help arrives in the form of Phil.
Can he and Debbie persuade Al to fly the nest?
With a budget of £375,000, Debbie hopes that a country property will make her a happy bunny, but she may struggle to love a derelict barn that Al has his eye on.
Can the couple come to an amicable agreement?
