I'd Do Anything - Jodie Prenger deserves to win
Friday, 30 May 2008
Jodie Prenger is counting down the hours to Saturday's final.
The agony aunt would love to be play Nancy in the West End. She has battled her way to the final after show producer Cameron Mackintosh stated that he thinks she is "too big" to play Nancy.
Her mum has revealed how she feels Jodie's done to the official I'd Do Anything website: "It goes beyond proud to watch her make the journey she's made. When she got down to the final 12, we said to her 'don't ever give up', and she really has gone from strength to strength.
Madeleine Prenger has always thought Jodie would make it to the final: "I dreamt she'd get this far. Her dad and I know that this is beyond Jodie's ultimate dream, we've known that for years and years, and to live the reality of it is absolutely mind blowing.
"It's been the most phenomenal journey that I think any parent can go on. We go to watch the show, and then we drive straight back home on Sunday morning so we can get in and watch it all again on TV!
"But she has really absorbed the experience of working with the coaches, and has said that she just wants to take every single moment with her and take on board everything they've taught her.
"She has lived the entire dream, and she's never even moaned to us. It's just been phenomenal."
