Gordon Ramsay's Delia dupe
Friday, 24 October 2008
Gordon Ramsay duped fellow TV chef Delia Smith when he disguised himself as an elderly man and went to one of her cooking workshops.
The foul-mouthed cook was entirely transformed by a team of specialists to make him look like an old man, wearing spectacles and a cardigan, before he went to the workshop and asked Delia to pose for a photograph with him.
Gordon also adopted a Scottish accent for the prank, which was filmed for his Channel 4 show 'Cookalong Live'.
Father-of-three Gordon came clean to Delia three weeks later outside Norwich City football ground, and the cooking genius - regularly dubbed 'Saint Delia' by fans - was said to be "shocked" by his makeover.
This is not the first time Gordon has attempted to dupe a fellow chef.
In another episode of 'Cookalong Live', he is seen in a workshop with Italian cook Aldo Zilli, but Zilli soon cottoned on when Gordon, in character, kept asking questions about the ingredients being used.
