Phillip Schofield's transsexual shock
Tuesday, 27 October 2009
Phillip Schofield worried he was going to be "flashed" by transsexual Lauren Harries on 'This Morning'.
The TV host - who interviewed antiques expert Lauren, 30, on the show last month -condemned her behavior, impersonating a mentally challenged character from comedy show 'Little Britain' and said he was relieved when the segment was over.
He said: "The shame was she was there to help further the understanding of transsexuals. We were wrapping up the piece, when Lauren stood up and did an impersonation of Ann from 'Little Britain.' There was no-where to go."
Phillip, 47, said he momentarily thought Lauren's actions were to be much worse and she may bare her breasts at him during her appearance.
He added: "It's just part of the job. When she stood up I thought she was going to open and top and flash me, which would have been even more inappropriate than her Ann impression, so anything after that was a relief."
ITV have banned Lauren from making further appearances on the show and she has since claimed Phillip had a "bad aura."
Lauren - who became a child star after appearing on Terry Wogan's chat show, 'Wogan' as a prodigy - was born James but underwent a sex change operation in 2001.
