Peter Andre's chat show future?
Thursday, 5 November 2009
Peter Andre is being fought over by two broadcasters desperate to make him a TV presenter.
Channel 4 reportedly want the 'Behind Closed Doors' singer to replace departing tea time chat show host Paul O' Grady next year, while ITV want him to become the Friday stand-in presenter for regular host Phillip Schofield on 'This Morning'.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Peter is seriously hot property at the moment and producers are really impressed with his relaxed charm.
"Viewers both young and old can relate to him and that is exactly what a teatime show needs."
Paul confirmed last month he is quitting Channel 4 to move to ITV, after being told his show would face serious budget cuts next year, and being offered a prime slot by the rival broadcaster.
Peter, 36, was unveiled as showbiz reporter for 'This Morning' earlier this year, and stood in as guest host last Friday (30.10.09).
He also got rave reviews when he stood in for Paul - whose role is being filled by a series of guest presenters while he is on holiday - earlier this week.
