Wednesday, 16 July 2008
Michael J. Fox will star in US TV show 'Rescue Me', it was confirmed yesterday (15.07.08).
The 47-year-old actor - who suffers from Parkinson's disease - has been off TV screens since he starred in a cameo role of legal drama 'Boston Legal' in 2006, but will now be returning in four episodes of the firefighter drama.
The father-of-four will play a wheelchair bound character in the show, who will be a love interest for character Janet, played by Andrea Roth.
John Landgraf, president of US TV network FX who broadcast the show, said: "He plays a very funny, very original character."
'Rescue Me', starring Denis Leary, focuses on the lives of New York City firefighters following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Denis plays lead character, firefighter Tommy Gavin, in the show, who finds it hard to cope following the death of his cousin and best friend Jimmy Keefe.
