Kirsty Gallacher's Gladiator quit
Friday, 29 August 2008
Kirsty Gallacher is quitting 'Gladiators'.
The 32-year-old presenter co-hosted the relaunched version of the programme with Ian Wright after Sky One bosses brought it back earlier this year but will not return for another series.
A show spokesperson said: "Kirsty is leaving by mutual consent."
It has not been confirmed whether or not former footballer Ian will stay on or who will replace Kirsty.
In another change for the programme, show veteran Wolf is to make a return.

The original gladiator - real name Michael van Wijk - is set to be a full-time manager on the programme, after proving a hit with bosses when he returned for a show special which saw stars of the original show, which aired from 1992 to 2000, return to do battle against the current crop of gladiators.
The special episode can be seen on Sky One this Sunday (31.08.08) at 8pm.
It was recently reported that show chiefs were considering axing the revamped show after just one series after it failed to match the success of the original.
An insider said: "The network chiefs are going to be thinking long and hard before deciding whether or not to give it another go. Everyone is shellshocked by the show's lack of success."
