John Barrowman's adoption dream
Tuesday, 22 July 2008
John Barrowman is planning to adopt a baby from Cambodia.
The actor - who plays Captain Jack in 'Doctor Who' and spin-off 'Torchwood' - has revealed he and partner Scott Gill are thinking of following in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt by giving a needy child a home.
He said: "Scott went to the orphanage in Cambodia as part of the work we do with a charity called Camp Kids. He phoned me from there to say I was banned from going - because he knew I'd come back with at least four or five kids.
"Madonna's got nothing on me! I'd have the kids running all over me as I got on the plane."
John also revealed he and Scott have talked about using a surrogate mother, so they could have a child of their own.
He added to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "We have talked about it. I would like to think that we could have a little Captain Jack running around one day!"
