Harry Enfield's Loaded honour

Harry Enfield has been named the Loaded Legend ahead of the Loaded LAFTA Awards 2008.

The TV star - who shot to fame after appearing on Channel 4's 'Saturday Live' alongside Paul Whitehouse - will be following in the footsteps of Vic Reeves, Ricky Tomlinson, Bruce Tomlinson, Leslie Phillips in receiving the prestigious award.

Harry - who will collect his prize at the sixth annual Loaded LAFTAs with Nivea for Men at London's Cuckoo Club tomorrow (02.10.08) - said: "I'm chuffed to bits to be a Loaded Legend! I've read every edition of Loaded magazine from cover to cover since it was first published in 1908 - to actually be in it is amazing.

"And to get an award and free booze and possibly meet the Mighty Boosh who are always at every free booze event is like a dream come true.?

Harry is more well known as various characters including Stavros, Kevin the teenager, Loadsamoney and Tory Boy. He is back on TV screens later this month with new sketch show 'Harry and Paul'.

Loaded magazine editor Martin Daubney said: "Never has the word 'legend' been more appropriate than in the case of Harry Enfield. He has consistently been making the country roll around in their arm chairs for almost 25 years. I can't wait to bow down to his comic genius - and buy him a pint - at this year's Loaded Laftas. Hail Harry!?
