Eamonn Holmes and Anthea heal rift

Eamonn and Anthea heal rift

Thursday, 5 November 2009

Eamonn Holmes and Anthea Turner have made up after a 12-year feud.

The TV presenters - who hosted ITV show 'GMTV' together between 1994 and 1996 - will return to the sofa together and have a heart-to-heart for Eamonn's new programme 'The Friday Show', despite not speaking for over a decade.

He said: "We have put the past behind us. It is nice that we are at a stage in our lives where we can finally do just that."

Anthea was given the boot from the show breakfast show when Eamonn, 49, told bosses he could not work with her any longer and would quit unless she was sacked.

He also famously nicknamed her "Princess Tippy Toes".

However, Anthea- also 49 - admits it is "nice" the pair have been able to put their past behind them.

She said: "Being back on the soda with Eamonn seems like the easiest thing in the world."

'The Friday Show' - Eamon's new BBC talk show in Northern Ireland - will air tomorrow night at 9pm.
