Ant and Dec sign new deal
Friday, 6 November 2009
Ant and Dec have signed a new two-year deal with ITV reportedly worth £20 million.
The presenting duo - Anthony McPartlin, 33 and Declan Donnelly, 34 - have allegedly taken a 10 per cent pay cut to remain exclusively at the channel where they have worked since 1998, and they will host a new game show in the spring.
Ant said: "We are delighted to be able to carry on making the shows we love."
Ant and Dec are best-known as the hosts of 'Britain's Got Talent' and 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!' and are also lined up to present a six-part family challenge show called 'Push The Button', as well as appearing in the channel's online content.
While no official details of 'Push The Button' have been released, it is said to involve families facing off against each other in timed challenges.
Each episode will begin with Ant and Dec surprising the contestants in their homes and it is suggested the programme could eventually replace the duo's 'Saturday Night Takeaway' show.
The duo are also preparing to shoot the new series of 'I'm A Celebrity' in Australia which starts on November 15.
