'The Bill' star Ali Bastian hates wearing her on-screen police uniform.
The actress - who plays PC Sally Armstrong in the ITV drama - says her outfit can often be very uncomfortable, especially if they are filming when it's hot.
She said: "It's so nice to be out of 'The Bill' uniform in the summer - we were filming in a crazy heatwave recently, but we were doing scenes for winter, so I was there in my uniform, a jumper, a coat, gloves and a scarf. That was pretty unpleasant."
Ali - who previously played Becca Dean in 'Hollyoaks' - also revealed she enjoys not wearing make-up in her free time because she has to pile it on for work.
She said: "I like going make-up free on holiday because I have to wear so much for work, but I do have fair eyelashes, so a bit of MAC waterproof mascara is always good. I use a bit of bronzer and some gold on my eyes too."
