Emmerdale - Sammy Winward's romantic vow
Wednesday, 7 May 2008
Sammy Winward has vowed never to be as foolish as her 'Emmerdale' character when it comes to her love life.
The actress - who plays Katie Sugden in the soap - says she can't believe Katie's foolishness when it comes to her fiance Grayson Sinclair.
She said: "The things some people do for love! I'd never be as foolish as Katie about romance - not in a million years!"
Sammy - who is dating 'Robin Hood' star Jonas Armstrong - also said she prefers maintaining her own identity in her private life.
She said: "I think it's wrong to put everything into a relationship. You need to keep your own identity and finances, if anything happened after you'd mixed it all in together, what would you have left?"
Despite losing out on the Sexiest Female award to 'Hollyoaks' star Roxanne McKee on Saturday night (03.05.08), Sammy revealed she didn't mind.
She added: "It's really flattering, but I'm glad I haven't won any of those awards yet. What on earth would I say? There's no-one to thank, is there?"
