'Zombie' Kara Tointon

'Zombie' Kara Tointon

Wednesday, 1 October 2008

Kara Tointon says filming emotional scenes turn her into a "zombie".

The 'EastEnders' actress - who plays Dawn Swann in the BBC soap - says the intense storylines her character is involved in leave her feeling drained.

She said: "I enjoy filming the emotional scenes, though you don't realise until you get home how they turn you into a zombie.

"Crying all the time is pretty draining, but it's also really great to do."

The 25-year-old star - whose sister Hannah played Katy Fox in Channel 4 soap 'Hollyoaks' - has also confessed to missing her on screen family the Millers since they left Albert Square.

Kara said: "I miss them every day - I wish they could all come back.

"My favourite moments in 'EastEnders' have been with the Millers, and now I'll never be in that horrible kitchen with them again."

However, Kara seems to be managing without the Millers, and was crowned Sexiest Actress at the Inside Soap awards on Monday night (29.09.08).
