Adam Woodyatt may make a guest appearance in the new version

Raunchy 'EastEnders' spin-off

Friday, 23 October 2009

'EastEnders' is to create a raunchy internet spin-off show.

The 13-part series will be written by a group of young people aged 17 - 23 and feature cameo appearances by characters from the main show such as Dot Cotton, (June Brown) Ian Beale, (Adam Woodyatt) and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).

The drama, to be called 'EastEnders :20' is billed as a raunchier version of the main show and is aimed at younger viewers.

The show will focus on four Sixth Form students trying to escape their personal problems.

EastEnders executive producer Diederick Santer said: "These talented writers are creating a whole new Walford.

"There are always other people milling round the market and houses that we never go into. It will be nice to see well-known characters through strangers' eyes."

The online show is being launched to celebrate 25 years of EastEnders on February 19th.
