Libby Fox discovers Darren's secret
Sunday, 15 November 2009
'EastEnders's Libby Fox finds out her fiance is a love cheat on New Year's Eve.
The Oxford University student (Belinda Owusu) discovers Darren Miller (Charlie G Hawkins) cheated on her with Heather Trott (Cheryl Fergison) and secretly fathered her child, George.
Belinda admits: "I was shocked, just like everyone else was when they found out. Libby kicks off and doesn't understand how Darren could have done that - which is a bit how I felt when I heard!"
The actress is keeping quiet on exactly how Libby finds out Darren's secret, but says 'EastEnders' fans can expect fireworks.
She said: "Darren does a lot of lying and sneaking around, and I have to say, the stuff we've filmed when Libby discovers the truth is amazing. The writing's brilliant."
Despite Darren's dodgy behaviour, Belinda hopes her character makes it down the aisle with her errant fiance.
She said: "I'd definitely like her to go through the wedding, giving me the chance to wear a massive dress!
"But I'm sure Darren being the dad of someone else's baby is going to get in the way - so it all depends on whether she's able to forgive him, and if he works hard enough to get her back."
