EastEnders' Strictly ban

'EastEnders' bosses have banned castmembers from appearing on 'Strictly Come Dancing' because it interferes with the shooting of the soap.
Due to the new series of the BBC TV talent show lasting 16 weeks - two weeks longer than previous series - producers of the hit soap feel they can't spare any of the cast to test their skills on the dancefloor.
An 'EastEnders' insider told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "We love the show. But we can't spare anyone for that long."
However, the decision is likely to cause controversy as all previous series have included at least one big name from the soap.
Christopher Parker, who played Spencer Moon in 'EastEnders', was the runner up in the first series of the show - which is hosted by Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly - while Jill Halfpenny, who starred in the soap as Phil Mitchell's wife Kate, won the second series.
The third series featured Patsy Palmer, Louisa Lytton appeared in the fourth series and Letitia Dean competed last year.
