EastEnders Explosion in Photos - Nick takes hostages in the cafe

Monday June 1st

Nick tells Dotty that it's time they killed Dot. He grinds some pills into her soup.

Dot gets a phone call from her vicar, telling her that a close friend is very ill. She is so upset she can't eat.

Dotty suggests to Nick that they push Dot over the edge by ringing her and saying the friend has died. He agrees and leaves Dotty to make the call.

Dot is devastated. She tenderly takes hold of Dotty's hand for comfort as they pray and Dotty looks uncomfortable.

Tuesday June 2nd

When Nick arrives back and sees Dot lying on the sofa he thinks she's dead. He can't believe it when she stands up and heads for the launderette.

He argues with his daughter and helps himself to a beer not realising that Dotty hasn't drugged Dot but has laced the beer instead. He collapses and Dotty escapes to find Dot.

After explaining everything to Dot, Dotty is told to stay put in the launderette whilst Dot and Patrick find Nick.

When they return to the house they see it is empty.

Patrick spots Nick bundling Dotty in the back of his car and tries to chase after him but it's not long before Nick crashes his car.

Nick grabs Dotty and runs into the cafe where he locks the door and threatens everyone inside. Max, Phil and some of the other residents desperately try to barge their way in to get the children out.

Whitney's friend manages to wrestle Nick to the ground so Bradley can get the kids out before the fire takes hold.

Bradley makes a rash decision and runs back into the cafe to find Nick but Nick refuses to go with him and instead he struggles with Bradley before going into the loos. Just as he does, the gas pipe splits and the cafe explodes.
