Waking The Dead - Middle class killers
Monday, 12 May 2008
Boyd and the team investigate a body found in a disused tunnel, originally built by road protestors, in the penultimate two-part story of the current six-part series.
The burial has ritual elements and the team manages to trace the murder to a group of middle-aged men on a self-empowerment weekend, led by a self-appointed American guru.
The body in the disused tunnel is identified as Chris Dearden, an air-conditioning salesman who went missing in 1996, and Eve tells the team that Dearden was murdered by blows to the head.
Boyd and Grace break the news of the discovery of the body to Dearden's wife, Lucy, who admits that she was having an affair at the time with landscape gardener Frank Monk, and they are still together.
Meanwhile, Dearden's son Jimmy, 19, refuses to believe the body is that of his father, telling Boyd that his father had been working in Africa.
Grace believes there are ritual elements to the disposal of Dearden's body.
This episode is on BBC ONE, Monday 12 May 2008 @ 9-10pm.
