Rock Rivals - Karina (Michelle Collins) and Mal (Sean Gallagher)

Rock Rivals - The Final

Wednesday, 16 April 2008

The day of the live show final and Mal (Sean Gallagher) and Karina (Michelle Collins) are renewing their vows in an elaborate and expensive ceremony.

Jinx (Sophia Dawnay) is still trying to have Mal take responsibility for the baby but Mal threatens her to keep away, phoning his lawyer to ensure a pre-nup is written into the wedding renewal contract.

Mal has sold Karina a wooly version of what went on between him and Jinx and Karina ensures that Jinx is invited to the wedding.

With everyone on the guest list, suspicions are aroused when Dana (Sammy Glen) appears singing Suicide Bride.

It appears that Karina over-heard Mal and Jinx's conversation from the week before and regained her memories as a result of it.

Karina sets Mal up

The whole wedding was a sham organized by her to sting Mal in his wallet and make a mockery of him.

A fuming Mal is left jilted at the altar with Karina steaming ahead to the final, vowing to make Bethany (Holly Quin-Ankrah) a winner.

Mal gets back on the offensive and proposes to Jinx with the knowledge of how much this would upset Karina.

A lovestoned Jinx agrees. Mal and Karina are particularly scathing of their rival mentor's protégé on the show and Luke (Sol Heras) and Bethany are caught in the crossfire.

Mal and Karina's fighting reaches breaking point and the show is clearly suffering as a result of this.

Mal and Karina risk it all

Forced into a corner by an exasperated Sundae (Nicola Hughes) and Pete, they agree to an "all or nothing" contract – whoever's protégé wins gets everything – the stakes have never been higher.

This episode is on ITV1, Wednesday 16 April 2008 @ 9-10pm.
