Julianne Hough hid from endometriosis for 5 years

Lots of people admit that they avoid going to the doctors when they feel unwell as they think that if they forget about the pain then it will just go away.
Dancing with the Stars dancer Julianne Hough is living proof that you should go to the doctors if you sense that something is wrong.
She avoided going the doctors for five years - but luckily found out she had the condition earlier this week.
Julianne will have to prepare herself for surgery as her dance partner Cody Linley dances with a replacement until she is back to full fitness.
She told People magazine: "Last week was more than just a tummy ache."
"It turned out I ruptured a cyst that was on my ovary. I didn't know but I have endometriosis. I've apparently had it for a long time because I've had this pain for about the last five years. It hasn't been as bad.
"Up till last week, I let it go and I was always too busy to get it checked out."
Julianne is hoping that her story will convince other women to go and get checked out.
She added: "I want to be a good role model. I want to be honest. Maybe some girl out there won't wait too long like I did. I'm just glad I'm taking care of it now because I want to have babies some day."
It is thought that Julianne's mother and sister will be helping her through this difficult time as they have both suffered from the condition.
