Heather Mills takes on McCartney relative
Monday, 2 November 2009
Heather Mills will compete against a relative of ex-husband Paul McCartney when she stars on the new series of 'Dancing On Ice'.
Former model Heather - who lost part of her left leg in a motorcycle accident in 1993 - will find herself skating against 19-year-old Emily Atack, whose mother, actress and impressionist Kate Robbins, is Paul's cousin.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Emily's extended family is all very close. She'll have met Paul many times. She'll have met Heather too - though it is doubtful Heather will react well to learning that a relative of Paul's will be competing against her.
"How fascinating it will be if Paul actually turns up to watch the show."
Heather is reportedly already in training for her ice debut and has reportedly ordered a range of prosthetic legs for the show.
The inclusion 19-year-old Emily - who plays Charlotte Hinchcliffe in Channel 4's 'The Inbetweeners' - was being kept secret by ITV.
The source added: "Heather is currently unaware Emily is also going on the show. Emily's involvement is supposed to be top secret, but she has also been practising.
"She has never skated before, but touch wood the training is going well and she's not had any accidents so far."
Other celebrities rumoured to take part in the show, which returns in January 2010, include Sinitta and ex-England goalkeeper Peter Shilton.
