Ellery Hanley voted off 'Dancing On Ice'

Ellery Hanley has been voted off 'Dancing On Ice' after falling over during the skate off.

The former rugby player and partner Frankie Poultney found himself in the bottom two of the competition with model-turned-presenter Melinda Messenger, but failed to impress the judges in his final performance.

Only Nicky Slater opted to save the sportsman, who had earlier been branded a "moving lump" by panellist Jason Gardner.

After being voted off, Ellery said: "I'd like to thank everyone in the contest. I've had a great time."

Meanwhile, 'The X Factor' star Ray Quinn was awarded a perfect 30 for his and partner Maria Fillipov's routine to Starship's 'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now'.

Fromer Hear'Say singer Suzanne Shaw and her partner Matt Evers are the only other contestants in the show's history to obtain perfect marks, doing so in the final of series three.

Three celebrities ? Zoe Salmon, Jessica Taylor and Roxanne Pallett ? performed in pain after suffering rib injuries during training.

The skaters' costumes and music were 80s-themed in honour of skating coaches Torvill and Dean, who were celebrating 25 years since their legendary 'Bolero' routine saw them win Olympic gold with perfect marks.

Continuing with the theme, host Philip Schofield was briefly reunited with 'Going Live' puppet Gordon the Gopher.

Meanwhile, show favourite Ray has been banned from riding his new motorbike as show bosses are worried about an injury risk, warning it is "an accident waiting to happen."
