'Dancing on Ice' champion Suzanne Shaw is to star as Roxie Hart in 'Chicago'.
The 26-year-old former Hear'Say singer - who beat 'Hollyoaks' hunk Chris Fountain to be crowned the winner of the TV ice-dancing show last month - will be the 23rd actress to take on the role of murderess Roxie in the London West End version of the musical.
Her six-week run starts on June 2.
Suzanne - who has a three-year-old son Corey from her relationship with Darren Day - is no stranger to musical theatre, having starred in 'Summer Holiday' and 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show'. She will follow in the footsteps of stars Denise Van Outen, Ashlee Simpson and Brooke Shields who have all taken on the role.
'Chicago' spokesman Peter Thompson said: "A change is as good as a rest and it is a deliberate idea to get different actors to play different parts. It keeps the show fresh and people love working on the show because it is terrific."
The musical - which was also turned into a Hollywood movie starring starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere and Renee Zellweger - follows the story of Roxie Hart, a showgirl accused of murder, who employs suave lawyer Billy Flynn to take on her case.
