Dancing On Ice 2009 - Zoe Salmon's Olympic skating dream

TV presenter Zoe Salmon is hoping her adventures on Blue Peter have prepared her for her latest challenge as a contestant on Dancing on Ice.
Zoe said she has done everything from walking on hot coals to jumping out of a plane and couldn't wait to get stuck into the series.

She said: "In Blue Peter I had to run a marathon, ski, wing walk, walk on hot coals, do the walk of death, drove a Formula One car and a monster truck, so I've done a few things.
"But Dancing on Ice will be different - it's a longer journey, it's proper hard core training.
"I am a real daredevil at heart. I am always really terrified before I do anything risky though. I do get worried but I'll always be up for doing anything. I'm totally up for the lift, I'm up for anything, bring it on."
She also revealed that she has loved watching skating since she was a little girl and can't wait to have her moment on the ice.
She said: "When I was growing up it was the reason I religiously watched the Olympics. Not for any other sport, just the figure skating. It was the best. I remember thinking, wow, they're dancing but they're doing it on ice. How do you do that and how can you be that good?
