Dancing On Ice - Suzanne Shaw wins celebrity mum award
Thursday, 28 February 2008
28 February 2008 - Celebrity ice dancing superstar Suzanne Shaw has been crowned La Redoute Celebrity Mum of the Year.
The former Hear'Say singer, who beat former bandmates Myleene Klass and Kym Ryder for the title, said she is proud to be a single mum to her son Corey, who is now three years old, the Press Association reported.
"I do feel it's really good to show that you can do it alone," she said.
"This is for all the mums out there, every celebrity mum," Suzanne added.
According to Scottish newspaper Daily Record, Suzanne also said that former Olympic athlete and ice dancing coach Jayne Torvill should win a motherhood award.
"She's adopted two children and she's just a fantastic mother. She deserves Mum of the Year," Suzanne said.
The 26-year-old singer also claimed that she is interested in adopting a child within the next few years.
She currently dates DJ Jason King, also known as JK from radio duo JK and Joel.
Suzanne will appear in the live Dancing On Ice show in April and May, with the exception of performances scheduled for Friday evenings.
The celebrity ice skater will also become a presenter on Bingo Lotto when the current series of Dancing On Ice finishes.
