Dancing On Ice - Suzanne Shaw to host BingoLotto
Thursday, 24 January 2008
Dancing On Ice contestant Suzanne Shaw has found a new gig hosting a Friday-night bingo show, it has emerged.
BingoLotto, which is described by Jackpot.co.uk as a"hybrid game combining a lottery and bingo", will be hosted by the former Hear'Say singer, along with comedian Joe Pasquale.
According to Digital Spy, Virgin Media TV's controller of commercial partnerships, Clare Heys, said the programme is a "giant leap forward for branded content in the UK", adding that its unique appointment-to-view format is a first for primetime television in this country.
Viewers are encouraged to purchase tickets at retailers before the show airs and play along with a number of bingo-style lotteries.
Organisers claim that around 20 per cent of BingoLotto's proceeds will be donated to a number of UK charities.
The show - which originated in Sweden and claims to be the highest-rating show in Scandinavian TV history - is set to air on Virgin 1 on Friday nights from February 29th.
Suzanne is currently dating DJ JK of Virgin Radio's JK and Joel, but has reportedly been flirting with 20-year-old Hollyoaks actor Chris Fountain at the Dancing On Ice rink.
