Dancing On Ice - Jason Gardiner thinks Suzanne Shaw should win
Monday, 3 March 2008
Outspoken Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner has claimed that former Hear'Say singer Suzanne Shaw "embodies the spirit of the show".
Jason told the Mirror that although he thinks Hollyoaks hunk Chris Fountain will make it into the final of the ice dancing competition, Suzanne may be a more worthy winner, as Chris had previous ice skating experience as a hockey player, Digital Spy reported.
"I wonder if he's got an unfair advantage," Jason said of Chris, before adding that in recent weeks, Suzanne "looked like a professional" on the ice.
However, Suzanne's future on the ice may be in jeopardy after she fractured her ankle in rehearsals last week.
Despite the painful injury, Suzanne managed to receive a score of 24 points for her performance of Don't Rain On My Parade, following several hours of physiotherapy.
Meanwhile, tennis ace Greg Rusedski was given the boot this week following his 'props night' routine, which featured a wooden table and a broom.
After weeks of criticism from Jason, Greg received his highest praise from the judge to date.
"Tonight you weren't the most wooden out there, you had a table and a broom ... it was like a cleaner and a furniture removal man but nevertheless your best score," he told Greg.
