Dancing On Ice - Chris Fountain's mum defends her son

Celebrity ice dancer Chris Fountain's mum has defended her son against critics who are not impressed with his ice hockey past.
Chris, who appears in teen drama Hollyoaks as Justin Burton, previously played ice hockey in Bradford, where he grew up.
Some critics say his previous experience on the ice gives him an unfair advantage to the other celebrity figure skaters, the Manchester Evening News reported.
But Chris' mum Linda told the newspaper that her son's skill on the Dancing On Ice rink has nothing to do with his previous ice hockey experience.
"He played for a junior ice hockey team for a couple of years as a young lad, that doesn't make him an ice dancer," she said. "You don't just start doing axel jumps in the middle of playing ice hockey."
Last weekend, Chris became the first celebrity in Dancing On Ice history to perform an axel jump in the competition.
Presenter Holly Willoughby told the Mirror that Chris may face some stiff competition from fellow ice dancer Suzanne Shaw, who has improved in recent weeks.
She claimed that although Chris is continuously "excellent", she felt that Suzanne outperformed him in the week before last.
