Dancing On Ice - Chris Fountain to play in celebrity football match
Thursday, 6 March 2008
Dancing On Ice favourite and Hollyoaks actor Chris Fountain has agreed to play in the Soapstar Football Challenge, which will take place in May.
The 20-year-old ice dancer, who plays Justin Burton on the Channel 4 teen soap, will be joined by Hollyoaks costars Ricky Whittle, who plays Calvin Valentine and Jamie Lomas, who plays Warren Fox, among others, the Liverpool Echo reported.
Among the members of the opposition team will be Hollyoaks alum Gary Lucy, who is currently on The Bill, as well as Coronation Street's Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw) and Andy Whyment (Kirk Sutherland).
It is thought that Glenn Lamont, who plays Richie Carter on Emmerdale, will also compete in the match, which will take place at Chester City FC on May 24th.
Chris, who recently posed nude for Cosmopolitan magazine in support of male cancer awareness, grew up playing ice hockey and has previously told the Echo how much he loves a good game of football.
In an interview with the newspaper last month, he claimed training for Dancing On Ice has made "a huge difference" to his body, although he cut down on roast dinners to prepare for his Cosmo shoot.
