Dancing On Ice - Chris Fountain's grandma brings him chicken
Thursday, 13 March 2008
Celebrity ice dancer Chris Fountain was treated to a home-cooked chicken dinner made by his grandma, who personally delivered it to the ice rink.
Joyce Fountain prepared the meal before taking it to the Bradford Ice Arena, where Chris is training regularly with his skating partner Frankie Poultney - and she claims she always brings sandwiches along when the Fountain family travel to the studio to watch Chris compete every weekend.
She told the Bradford Telegraph & Argus: "I take sandwiches along and pass them round. I'm so proud of Chris."
Joyce, along with Chris' mum Lynda and other friends and family, can often be spotted in the Dancing On Ice audience sporting Team Fountain t-shirts - and even bulldog Snoop has been seen wearing one.
However, the Daily Mail reported this week that things turned ugly backstage at the Dancing On Ice semifinal when the contestants' families and friends were banned from watching the show behind the scenes.
It is rumoured that conflict broke out when Lynda began selling Team Fountain t-shirts for charity to the Dancing On Ice studio audience - a decision which the families of Chris' celebrity ice dancing competitors harshly criticised her for.
